Privacy Policy

personAIity has no advertising, no analytics and no trackers. Nothing you do here is sold, and nothing is shared with anyone except the services below that are needed to make the app work. What we do hold is the conversations you have and the personas you make, and you can delete all of it from inside the app.
What we collect, and why

What we do not collect
- Your location. The app never asks for it and cannot read it. Personas know the time and weather where they live, which is a fact about the persona, not about you.
- Contacts, photos, microphone, camera, health or motion data.
- Advertising identifiers. There is no advertising and no tracking across apps.
- Payment details. Purchases go through Apple.
Who else sees anything
Three services, each doing one job:
- Google Firebase and Cloud Run hold the accounts, the database and the backend. Your conversations and personas are stored there.
- OpenRouter runs the language model that writes personas and replies. What you type to a persona is sent there, along with that persona's description, because that is how a reply is produced. Please do not put anything into a conversation that you would not want processed by a third-party model provider.
- Open-Meteo is asked what the weather is doing in the persona's town. It receives a place name and nothing about you.
We do not sell data, and none of these services is paid to profile you.
How long we keep it
Until you delete it. Conversations and personas stay so that the app works as you would expect when you come back to it.
Deleting your account removes your personas, your conversations, your requests and any unspent credits. One thing survives: the record that a particular App Store transaction was already credited, with your account identifier stripped from it. Without that, deleting an account would be a way to claim the same purchase twice. It holds no personal information.
Deleting your account
In the app: the account button on the catalogue screen, then Delete account. It is immediate and cannot be undone. If you would rather we did it, email poppsapplications@gmail.com from the address you signed up with.
Children
personAIity is not directed at children. Personas are generated text, reviewed by us but not guaranteed, and the app is rated for a teenage audience and above.
Changes
If this policy changes in a way that affects what we collect, the date at the top changes and the app's listing is updated. We will not start collecting something new quietly.
